Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake

Hey friends, glad you stopped by The Waking kitchen today! We hope you’ll take a little break from your busy Monday afternoon to sit back, relax, and enjoy a sweet treat with us. Today we’re serving up a delicious Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake. Yum! Hope you guys enjoy! 🙂

Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake

We got the recipe for this chocolaty bundt cake from our aunt a couple years ago and have been making it ever since. Though we have put our own little spin on it. The chocolate frosting in the cake (yes in the cake, not on the cake in this case) makes it so much more moist and rich. The idea of baking frosting inside of a cake seemed so weird to me, but Cecily assured me that she had seen other recipes like this before, and that it would be great. Well she was definitely right on! We’ve been making this cake for our church fund raisers lately and it seems to be a hit. It’s super easy and fast to whip up and tastes so good. 🙂

Ingredients:
1 yellow cake mix
1 cup sour cream
1 sm. chocolate pudding mix
3/4 cup oil
1/4 cup water
1 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
1 cup chocolate chips
1 can Duncan Hines Chocolate Frosting

Glaze
Ingredients:
2 cups Powdered Sugar
3 tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients, except chocolate chips, together in a large bowl until well combined. Next, stir in chocolate frosting, and chocolate chips into batter. Pour cake batter into Bundt pan and bake for 1 hour.

To make the glaze, combine all ingredients in a medium size bowl, and mix until smooth. Pour over cake and serve.
